1st Impressions

I found a hummingbird.

It looked so small, delicate, frail and helpless.

It appeared weak and broken.

It was not.

It was exhausted.

Working continuously, relentlessly.

It was powerful and determined.

It was providing and nurturing.

It just needed a few moments to regroup and catch it’s breath.

It chose to spend those few moments with me.

I didn’t find it, the hummingbird found me.
I assume everything to be about me.

It’s not.

I am just a participant in what is…
