The Longest Day Ever

The breadth of death and a last breath

Love left unsaid

The depth of the deafening

Silent Spring

Fear of the now and what tomorrow brings

No more whys

Look to the sky,

Crossed the heart,

The hope to die

Missing, wishing, wishing, missing

Sitting, waiting, praying, listening

Grieving through the evening,

Awake, a wake and a beautiful mourning

Healing, warming

Songbirds singing, swooping, swarming

Soaring high, flying higher

Hope reborn from the pyre,

Ashes scattered

It still matters

Living life

Love and Laughter
